If you've ever built a site with WordPress and Elementor, you know how easy it is to drop in Font Awesome icons.

Now… try doing that in Google Sites.
😬 Yeah. Not quite the same experience.
Google Sites doesn't have a built-in icon library.

So what do we do?
Well, if you're like me, you get creative.
And that's where Google's Noto Emoji font comes in.

When I discovered Google's Noto Emoji font, it was love at first sight.
Crisp. Clean. Scalable.

They don't just look like emojis - they look like icons. And unlike standard emojis, you can change the color and make them match your brand. Pretty sweet, right?

The not-so-sweet part?
Actually using them was a pain.

Here's what I had to do:

1. Find a standard emoji somewhere.
2. Paste it into the page.
3. Highlight it.
4. Change the font to Noto Emoji (if you could even find it).
5. Repeat for every. single. emoji.

Now imagine doing that across multiple projects and doing the same process for 50 icons.
Tedious. Inefficient. And honestly, a creativity killer.

So I fixed it.

Now we can:
